Business forums of Chinese cities held in Moscow
On August 22, a forum on business cooperation between Moscow and Shanghai was held at the Metropol Hotel, becoming the central event of the Day of Shanghai in Moscow organized by SUE MCMS. The conference raised such topical issues as improving the investment climate of cities and conducting successful international business, taking into account the nuances of the Chinese and Russian markets.
The event was attended by representatives of the Government of Moscow, the administration of the city of Shanghai, chambers of commerce and industry, and business circles.
In the continuation of the Days of Shanghai, the Russian capital received a delegation from another Chinese city - Chengdu, headed by City Committee Secretary Fan Ruiping.
As part of the events on August 24, a meeting was held between the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, Leonid Pechatnikov, and representatives of the Chinese delegation. The parties expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and entertainment sectors and signed a Memorandum on the establishment of friendly cooperation relations between Moscow and Chengdu. The Chinese side promised to bring their main asset - a live panda - to the Moscow zoo.
As part of the business program at the Metropol Hotel, there was a presentation of the trade, economic and tourist potential of Chengdu. From the Russian side, Yevgeny Dridze, acting head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, took part in it. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the visit.
The conference was also attended by the Envoy of the Embassy of the PRC in Russia, Su Fanqiu, deputy head of the Committee on Trade Affairs, Zhang Jinquan, head of the Tourism Committee of Chengdu Do Yangnamu City, as well as head of the Exhibition Activities Committee Chen Fu.
The cultural program of the festival was implemented in the Krasnaya Presnya Park, where from August 24 to 26 the Panda Travel to Moscow: Chengdu Culture Days festival was held for residents of the capital. Chinese guests showed performances, held a traditional tea ceremony, taught young Muscovites to blow candy out of caramel, held master classes in drawing on Chinese umbrellas.
The days of Shanghai and Chengdu ended on August 26th.
