International Summit of Mayors at the Russian Energy Week

On October 3, 2018, the second International Energy Efficiency and Energy Development Forum “Russian Energy Week” opened in the Manezh. Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the plenary session of the forum. At the opening, prospects for Russian gas supplies to Europe and the key reasons for the rapid increase in oil prices were considered.

With the assistance of the Moscow Center for International Cooperation, the International Summit of Mayors on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Urban Development took place in the framework of the business program, moderated by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsin.
The event was attended by the leaders of more than 15 Russian and foreign cities, including Lima, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Gainesville and others. The speakers discussed the issues of improving energy efficiency and the environmentally friendly transport sector and harmonizing the collection of energy data in cities.
Heads of relevant ministries will attend the forum, which will last until October 6, from 30 countries, heads of major international energy companies and organizations, and leading world experts. As part of the official program will be about 60 business events.
