Sergey Cheremin said that cooperation between Moscow and Switzerland has a positive trend. According to him, about 200 large Swiss companies work in the Russian capital, the volume of Swiss investments in the Russian economy is about $ 10 billion, an increase in turnover of 18-20% per year is noted. The minister also said that today the digitization of the economy and the development of “smart city” technologies are one of the most topical and urgent tasks in the city government for the city authorities. The achievements of Moscow in this area are noted by the world's leading research companies and agencies. For example, in the Doing Business rating, the Russian capital rose from 124th to 31st place, Moscow took the 1st place in the UN ranking of electronic service indexes and bypassed 40 world capitals. Among the cities of Eastern Europe, Moscow took the 1st place and 6th place in the overall rating of 25 cities of the future according to fDi Magazine.
The Minister spoke in detail about the investment projects planned and implemented in Moscow, the development of transport infrastructure, and the construction of roads and subways. Sergey Cheremin emphasized that the Moscow Government pays great attention to the development of public-private partnership: for every ruble spent by the city, there are 3-4 rubles of investors. The city is actively investing budget funds in the modernization of education and healthcare, and introducing modern business process management systems.
In the near future, Moscow will become one of the samples of Smart City, meeting the most stringent criteria.
