Government of Moscow in Davos

In Davos, Switzerland, within the World Economic Forum, business events of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow were held at the Russian House. The city authorities managed to meet and negotiate with leading politicians and representatives of major international companies.
On January 23, a business session "Digital Transformation of Cities: Prospects for the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the Management of Municipal Processes and Procedures" took place.
The Minister of the Moscow Government, the Head of the Far Eastern Telecommunication and Nuclear Economy Department Sergey Cheremin spoke about the achievements of the Russian capital to the participants and guests of the event. “The city is investing huge amounts of money in the development of transport infrastructure, above all, public transport, including its digitization. You use, without even noticing, high-speed Wi-Fi on metro trains - even futurologists could not have dreamed about this 10 years ago. Or the fact that there will be Wi-Fi in Moscow trams and buses, navigation, and analytic conclusions will be made on traffic: how to change traffic flows, where to open a new lane for public transport, where to develop the metro,” departments.
Sergey Cheremin also stressed that the creation of a digital infrastructure of the city as a single interface to ensure the manageability of all urban processes is one of the key priorities of the development of the Russian capital since 2011. This approach is dictated by modern economic conditions - the capital needs to remain competitive and investment-attractive.
Arkady Dvorkovich, chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, president of the US-Russia Business Council Daniel Russell, founder of the Bernaskoni Architectural Bureau Boris Bernasconi, also attended the business session. Alexander Ivlev, managing partner of EY in Russia, moderated the session.
