Representative offices abroad

The Moscow Center for International Cooperation has several subordinate representative offices abroad - the Houses of Moscow in Bishkek, Yerevan, Minsk, Riga, Sofia and Sukhum. The main tasks of the Houses are the popularization of Russian culture and the Russian language abroad, the support of compatriots, the formation of the image of the Russian capital as an international cultural and business center.

THE HOUSE OF MOSCOW IN BISHKEK (KIRGHIZIA)
In accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Moscow of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on International Cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and cultural fields of October 26, 2000, the Representative Office of the Government of Moscow in Bishkek was opened in Bishkek.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN YEREVAN (ARMENIA)
Built by order of the Moscow Government to promote cultural and business contacts between Russia and Armenia, the House of Moscow has become the material embodiment of cooperation between the two cities and states and is currently one of the largest projects within the program of this cooperation.

At the opening of the House of Moscow, which took place in March 2007, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov handed the mayor of Yerevan Yervand Zakharyan a symbolic golden key, which depicts a symbol of peace - a dove carrying a straw, as the Moscow mayor put it, into that common nest of friendship Yerevan and Moscow. " Since then, this key is kept in the Museum of History of the city of Yerevan, and the doors of the House of Moscow in Yerevan are always open not only for Russians living in Armenia, but also for all our compatriots.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN MINSK (BELARUS)
The House of Moscow in Minsk is the Representative Office of the State Budget Institution of the City of Moscow “The Cultural and Business Center“ House of Moscow ”in the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter - the Representative Office). The founder is the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow.

The beginning of the House of Moscow in Minsk was laid several years ago with the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov. The proposal to create a “Cultural and Business Center “House of Moscow” was supported by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. In June 2007, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Mikhail Pavlov, laid a memorial stone, marking the beginning of construction.

The first deputy chief architect of the city of Moscow Yuri Grigoriev designed the building of the House of Moscow. The House is located in the zone of public and business centers; the diplomatic missions of a number of countries are located in the immediate vicinity.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN RIGA (LATVIA)
On December 13, 2001 the Resolution of the Government of Moscow was adopted on the creation of the House of Moscow in Riga.

The purposes of creating the House of Moscow in Riga is to strengthen the international authority of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow in the territory of Latvia, to promote the development of international relations; to organize and conduct cultural, social, informational and economic programs, to support Russian compatriots and international cooperation programs.
Since the beginning of 2002, the reconstruction of a building in the center of Riga has begun. The author of the concept of reconstruction was the famous Moscow architect Mikhail Posokhin. The direct reconstruction of the center was entrusted to the famous Riga architectural and construction company Bugroff.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN SOFIA (BULGARIA)
The Moscow Cultural and Business Center “House of Moscow in Sofia” was opened in 2003. The “House of Moscow Sofia” is the outcome of many years of friendly ties between the Governments of Moscow and Sofia. Negotiations about the House between the Govenments have been conducted since 2001.

The Moscow Cultural and Business Center is a subsidiary of the Moscow Center for International Cooperation. The Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow manages the activities of the House of Moscow in Sofia, as well as of the Houses of Moscow in other countries.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN SUKHUM (ABKHAZIA)
The Moscow House of Moscow cultural and business center in Sukhum was created within the framework of the Protocol of the meeting of the Mayor of Moscow Y.M. Luzhkov with the President of Abkhazia S.V. Bagapsh of March 14, 2005, as well as pursuant to the order of the Mayor of Moscow No. 4-19-14524 / 5.5-1 dated February 17, 2006 on the location of the Moscow Cultural and Business Center in Abkhazia, in order to establish direct economic ties with organizations of the Republic of Abkhazia.
By order of the Administration of the city of Sukhum number №03r dated January 16, 2006. A land plot of 0.2 hectares at the corner of Dbar and Kogonia streets was allocated for the construction of the building.
However, due to the well-known dramatic events that took place in this region of the Caucasus, the construction dragged on for many years. The opening of the House of Moscow in Sukhum took place only on November 15, 2013 with the direct participation of the Moscow Center for International Cooperation.
