Representative offices abroad

The Moscow Center for International Cooperation has several subordinate representative offices abroad - the Houses of Moscow in Bishkek, Yerevan, Minsk, Riga, Sofia and Sukhum. The main tasks of the Houses are the popularization of Russian culture and the Russian language abroad, the support of compatriots, the formation of the image of the Russian capital as an international cultural and business center.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN YEREVAN (ARMENIA)
Built by order of the Moscow Government to promote cultural and business contacts between Russia and Armenia, the House of Moscow has become the material embodiment of cooperation between the two cities and states and is currently one of the largest projects within the program of this cooperation.

At the opening of the House of Moscow, which took place in March 2007, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov handed the mayor of Yerevan Yervand Zakharyan a symbolic golden key, which depicts a symbol of peace - a dove carrying a straw, as the Moscow mayor put it, into that common nest of friendship Yerevan and Moscow. " Since then, this key is kept in the Museum of History of the city of Yerevan, and the doors of the House of Moscow in Yerevan are always open not only for Russians living in Armenia, but also for all our compatriots.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN MINSK (BELARUS)
The House of Moscow in Minsk is the Representative Office of the State Budget Institution of the City of Moscow “The Cultural and Business Center“ House of Moscow ”in the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter - the Representative Office). The founder is the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow.

The beginning of the House of Moscow in Minsk was laid several years ago with the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov. The proposal to create a “Cultural and Business Center “House of Moscow” was supported by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. In June 2007, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Mikhail Pavlov, laid a memorial stone, marking the beginning of construction.

The first deputy chief architect of the city of Moscow Yuri Grigoriev designed the building of the House of Moscow. The House is located in the zone of public and business centers; the diplomatic missions of a number of countries are located in the immediate vicinity.

MOSCOW HOUSE IN RIGA (LATVIA)
On December 13, 2001 the Resolution of the Government of Moscow was adopted on the creation of the House of Moscow in Riga.

The purposes of creating the House of Moscow in Riga is to strengthen the international authority of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow in the territory of Latvia, to promote the development of international relations; to organize and conduct cultural, social, informational and economic programs, to support Russian compatriots and international cooperation programs.
Since the beginning of 2002, the reconstruction of a building in the center of Riga has begun. The author of the concept of reconstruction was the famous Moscow architect Mikhail Posokhin. The direct reconstruction of the center was entrusted to the famous Riga architectural and construction company Bugroff.
